Mayor Christopher Cabaldon launched FutureReady as a trust fund and partnership to:

  • Engage West Sacramento youth in civic improvement.
  • Build college and career readiness for local high school students through linked learning.
  • Give youth meaningful experience with entrepreneurship and employment.
  • Promote youth competency in urban life and place making.
  • Create best in class work-based learning opportunities for West Sacramento students in industry related pathways.
A project of the West Sacramento Foundation, our work toward these goals emphasizes municipal initiatives like the West Sacramento food hub, biking and transit, and civic innovation and technology.
